Our Values

We will, with everything that we have, strive to be faithful and obedient to our bishops and to the Magisterium of the Church, no matter how inconvenient or difficult. We trust that the Holy Spirit is guiding the Church and that our Lord asks us to work with our bishops to serve the universal Church.
The Eucharist is our Source and Summit and we shall cling to our Lord in the sacraments in our prayer and worship. Prayer shall be an absolute priority. Every mission and initiative that we take will be first taken to prayer and we shall listen to the will of our Lord. We will immerse ourselves in Scripture, trusting that ‘ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ’ and we shall do everything we can to search out wisdom and guidance through the Word.
We shall measure what we speak and teach against the teaching of the Church, humbly searching for Truth, being open to correction, and persistent in our search to know and understand God’s revealed Truth.
We shall speak Truth with love but we shall not compromise when we are asked to speak difficult things. All truth shall be accompanied by merciful, gentle words but we shall NOT compromise on speaking on the Truth of our world, in ministries, or the Gospel.
We shall always, through our actions, our words, and our thoughts, shall strive to love God, our neighbors, and ourselves. We shall be known by our love, for the way we speak kindly, the sacrifices we make to serve, and the joy that we share when we meet our brothers and sisters in Christ. We shall RADIATE Christ’s love.
All of our values reflect our commitment to our Catholic faith, which we shall bear proudly and humbly, knowing that our Lord has called us to service and not to pride
Our work will be practical. We shall share practical tools for ministry and implement excellent systems in the practice of our own ministry. God is a God of order and He created all good business and ministry practices. Our goal will be to find God in the practical aspects of life and to share the tools that are needed for effective ministry.
We shall do everything we can to encourage and build up our brothers and sisters in ministry. And we shall do so joyfully, with laughter and a great sense of fun!
To the best of our ability and resources, we will strive to be the best of the best in all of our practices, knowing that God deserves the best that we can offer. We shall look hard at our own practices, constantly evaluating what we can do better, how we can improve, and how we can stay continue to deliver the best ministry possible to those we have been called to serve. Honesty in evaluation is key and we will be excellent.
Our staff and ministry partners deserve the wages, support, and ministry that they need to build their families and live out fully their vocations. To the best of our ability, we will treat our people justly, living out ethical, fair practices.
Our purpose is to serve and minister to our neighbors and to fellow ministers. We shall NEVER lose sight of this mission by turning inwardly. Rather, we are here to serve, to give of ourselves that others might have life and have life to the full.
We shall focus on being a community, a team that loves, supports, encourages, and prays for each other. Our community must be one that is built of real relationships, of honesty and mutual support that help all of us to strive for heaven and to enjoy the journey there. Those who accept being on the team for Ezer will know that they are stepping into more than a job but a community of people who will do everything they can to help their brothers and sisters in faith to fall more in love with Jesus and each other every single day.
